Connect Claude to Stuff
Use a remote MCP connector to read and work on Stuff files from Claude. The connection is separate from uploading a file into one conversation.
Add the connection
- In Claude, open Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Name it Stuff.ac and enter
https://stuff.ac/mcp. - Continue through Claude's setup, then choose Connect. Sign in to Stuff and approve the spaces and permissions you want.
- Enable Stuff in the conversation's connector controls. Workspace rules may require an owner to add the connector first.
Stuff supports automatic OAuth client registration. You do not need to invent a client ID, supply a client secret, or paste an API key for this sign-in flow. See Claude's official setup instructions.

Try a useful task
Use Stuff to read Project Lantern.md in the space I connected. Summarize its brief and return the file link. Do not edit or share anything.
Then try the two-assistant handoff. If you allowed editing, ask for a targeted change and check its saved version in Stuff.
Ask Claude to preview a file when you want an interactive viewer. Stuff's Claude integration has been exercised with document, PDF, image, and version-history previews. Availability depends on the Claude surface and file type; a working MCP connection can still return text and links when interactive UI is unavailable. Claude's interactive connector guide.
If a tool is missing
In Claude web, open the Stuff connector's More options → Refresh tools list, then start another tool request. Refreshing tools does not broaden the Stuff grant. If access is denied, inspect the connection's selected spaces and permissions in Stuff.
Disconnect
Use the Stuff entry in Claude's connector settings to disconnect. For authoritative access removal, also open Stuff → Agents and revoke that connection. Turning a connector off for one conversation is different from revoking its credential. Full revocation walkthrough.
Verification note: the screenshot documents the setup form in an account with an existing working Stuff connection. It does not show a newly authorized Claude demo grant. The separately verified demo-key revocation test is documented in the revocation guide.
